Removing Pre Installed Software from New PC and Laptop Computers

So you’ve bought a new computer, got it home, loaded it up and the first thing you find is lots of desktop shortcut icons to software you didn’t know you had or even wanted, and worse still lots of pop-ups for programs trying to get you to purchase them.

A few of the major culprits here are Microsoft Office 60 day Trial and security software. No problem, you just remove them if you don’t want them…..right?

Wrong! Some of the security (antivirus and firewall) software can’t be removed easily at all – meaning you can’t install the antivirus and firewall program of your choice.

However there are tools available to remove this type of trial software for good, and we tell you why it’s a good idea to do so.

How to stop your computer getting a virus from Adobe Flash or Adobe PDF Reader

You may have read recently that Adobe, makers of Flash Technology (used on many websites) and PDF Document reader,  have recently acknowledged their software has a flaw in that can allow computer viruses and other malicious software to attack your computer. If not you can read about it here.

However Adobe will now release a critical update for Flash, but not for Adobe PDF Reader until the end of the month.
